The hearth smell hits you at the door. Charred leeks and the short rib were the best things I ate this month.
MarenEverything tastes better near the fire.
A neighbourhood dining room built around one oak-fed hearth. Short seasonal menu, produce from nearby farms, and a table held for you.
One hearth. A short menu. No shortcuts.
We cook almost everything over oak and fruitwood, and change the menu when the market does. If a dish is on the list, it is because it was good this week.
Live fire only
Grill, oven and smoker are all wood-fed. The hearth is lit by noon every day we open.

Booked online in a minute, seated on time, and they remembered the allergy note. Relaxed without being sloppy.
JoelGreat vegan options, which is rare for a fire kitchen. Dessert tart was tangy and perfect. Bar gets loud on Fridays.
